UnitingCare Kippax is a community service organisation based in West Belconnen that supports people and families to live a decent life in a strong and healthy community.
Looking for full-time work? Three days a week? 20 hours a week? UnitingCare Kippax currently has employment opportunities for all of those options!
We’re looking for a full time Emergency Material and Financial Aid (EMFA) staff person, a three day a week Kippax Connections Program Officer and a 20 hour/week Case Manager. Do any of those sound interesting?
The EMFA position sees people who are seeking emergency relief, or who are dealing with underlying issues that are triggering financial hardship. The role assists these people with their immediate need and supports them to deal with the underlying issues, connect to their community and be able to make and implement decisions that positively affect their lives. See the job description EMFA Staff general PD 2018.
The Kippax Connections program supports people to re-engage with education, training or employment. The Program Officer interviews each new participant and assists them with goal planning, while maintaining relationships with key trainers and employers to support the development of connections that might assist the participants to fulfil those goals. See the job description kippax-connections-officer-June-2018.
The Case Manager works with people in any of the short, medium or long terms to address issues that are negatively affecting their lives and to build capacity to manage those issues themselves. See the job description Case manager-June-2018.
EMFA, Kippax Connections and Case Management link with each other to provide person-centred wrap around support, so you’ll need strong collaboration skills.
These positions all require mature, motivated, experienced and qualified community sector workers. The roles require people to engage compassionately, to work from a trauma-informed perspective, to empower and build independence in participants, to link people to additional community supports and to work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues.
Applications must address the selection criteria and close on Friday 29 June 2018. Please mark applications as confidential, including the position title, and forward them to firstname.lastname@example.org. For queries, call Meg Richens on 02 6254 1733.
