Kippax Monster Garage Sale

We hold our famous monster garage sales two or three times a year.  The garage sales enable people in the community to access affordable second-hand goods.  It is a diverse and inclusive event and everyone is welcome.  The next garage sale will be held on Saturday 20 October 2018 from 8.00am to 1.00pm.

Due to a lack of storage capacity, we are unable to accept donations of furniture at this time.   But you will be able to donate saleable goods (if you wouldn’t buy it we can’t sell it) on Thursday 18 October from 9am until 7pm & Friday 19 October from 9am until 7pm.

For the latest information about the Kippax Monster Garage Sale, like us on Facebook.

At the garage sale you can find bargains in furniture, plants, children’s toys and equipment, pictures and art, haberdashery, homemade sweets and preserves, kitchenware, books, clothing, bedding/linen, jewellery and fine china.

Stop by to shop for a bargain, and stay to enjoy the sausage sizzle or sit down for morning tea featuring Canberra’s home baked goodies.  There is also a jumping castle for young children

Money raised from the garage sales is used by Kippax Uniting Church to help those in need in our community.

How you can help

On the Thursday and Friday before garage sale day, we gratefully accept donations of good, clean, quality second-hand goods including furniture, kitchen ware, clothes, books etc.  You can read more about how to make a donation and the items we can accept here.

Our Garage Sales rely on the effort of around 150 volunteers and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in helping out.  There are a range of roles available to suit any skill set, in the day or evening and for any duration – even an hour will help!
