Welcome from the midst of a great hive of activity and community work. In just about every bit of property here at Kippax (and also in places around Belconnen) our great team of volunteers and staff are in preparation for our 3rd Garage Sale of the year. To everyone who has already put in the effort around set ups, donations, cooking etc and to everyone who is still planning to be involved over the next 24-36 hours: THANK YOU!!
On Sunday we are welcoming Frank Quinlan to our 830 and 1030 services. Frank is the CEO of Mental Health Australia and a long term friend of Kippax. You may have seen Frank on ABC 730 earlier this week talking about the Insurance industry and Mental Health. I encourage you to be part of one of the services this week. Frank is a special guest and has great wisdom for us all as we offer a holistic care for each other
In 945 Hannah will be leading us in creative ways that we can create space in our lives – time out for self care.
Please remember that we also have the Congregational lunch starting just after 1130. During the lunch there will be time for people to get an update from and ask questions of the Church Council, particularly in relation to the “JNC” process towards the identification and call of a new Executive Minister.
Two more matters:
We are currently a bit behind in the preparation for our Christmas Appeal. We really appreciate the generosity that is continually shown in this congregation and community. If you have the capacity to purchase a gift for our Christmas Appeal, we would really appreciate it coming in as soon as possible.
The Presbytery is hosting a lunch out at Greenhills next Saturday (7 November) between 1130am and 230pm. It is a chance to meet others from around the Presbytery and to share together where our quite different congregations are hearing and responding to God’s call among us. If you are interested in knowing more, or would like to put your name down to attend, please email email@example.com
I look forward to seeing you this weekend
Grace and peace
