Are you keen to make a difference in your local community?  Want to support vulnerable families and children?  NewPIN (the New Parent Infant Network) is seeking a qualified Therapeutic Play Support Worker to join our team.  We’re a community based program with a preventative, early intervention focus providing structured and therapeutic support to families experiencing significant distress, including some who are engaged in the Care and Protection Services system and some who have experienced considerable trauma.

The role of the Therapeutic Play Support worker is required to have high level understanding of early childhood development; high level skills in working compassionately and from a trauma-informed perspective; ability to establish a successful therapeutic relationship with children and their carers; excellent team skills, and the capacity to work efficiently in a time-limited position.

NewPIN is a program of UnitingCare Kippax, at Kippax Uniting Church.  Our goal is to create a loving, nurturing community.  The successful applicant will be required to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church of Australia and the mission of Kippax Uniting Church.

This is a permanent part time position for 14 hours/week, with salary according to the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, Level 3.  In addition, we offer the tax benefits of salary sacrificing.
