Lent is racing on. Only a couple of weeks away from Easter and so our services are very much focussed on the later part of the journey.
Last week we were reminded of the identity of God and of the purpose of Jesus’s life – Love. God loved SO MUCH.
This week we continue with the gospel of John’s narrative – “unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it produces nothing. But if it does die …”
In the 830 and 1030 services, working with this reading we will be mindful of what it is that we can be emptying of ourselves, that we may experience life.
In the 945 service – come ready with gardening hand tools if you have them – as we will explore this passage in very practical means!
Please remember and plan in advance for a couple of things on the following Sunday – Palm Sunday29 March
The Palm Sunday Rally for Refugees is on in Garema Place starting at 1 (people from faith communities are invited to gather in Glebe Park at 1230 and join the rally from there)
And our Easter Workshop is on from 3-5pm where we can engage with some of the younger members of our own community with the wonders and impact of the Easter story. For more details – or if you are interested in participating or assisting – contact Hannah – firstname.lastname@example.org
Grace and peace
