This coming Sunday we are really in for a special treat.
Bishop Ian Lambert – the Anglican Bishop in Defence – will be speaking at both our 830 and 1030 services.
Ian is known to many of our congregation and community from his long time at the Anglican church in Bateman’s Bay, where his ministry brought wise, compassionate, missional and pastoral leadership. You wont want to miss Ian.
Please remember to contact Hannah (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you believe you may be able to assist with tutoring or study assistance for our young people. Over the years it has been great to be able to offer this assistance and also to see the relationships develop across the generations. Whether it is general study assistance, or one (or more) specific subjects or topics, everything helps
Dont forget the great things that are coming up in the near future here as well.
Our Death Cafe – held in co-operation with Palliative Care ACT – is on Feb 15. Joan Scott and Ruth Williams are able to provide more details
On Feb 22 we have an evening with Johnny Huckle, a great local singer – exploring Indigenous Spirituality and his music. It will be a wonderful night
And of course coming up on Feb 28 we have the next Garage Sale. More details are available from Rob Day and James Fenn. Hopefully you are gathering your ‘stuff’ for others to be able to re-use.
And in the midst of that we have our Pancake Day (Tuesday 17 Feb) and our Ash Wednesday service (Wed 18 Feb).
I am heading on leave for a couple of weeks. I look forward to seeing you again in late Feb.
Grace and peace
