Come and be part of a discussion about what we can do – together – to build a fairer community. How can we all have the chance to live a decent life?
Tuesday 15 October 2013, from 4:45 (for 5pm start) to 7pm at the Kippax Uniting Community Centre, Luke St Holt.
This forum is part of Anti Poverty Week 2013.
It will feature guest speakers:
Andrew Barr MLA (Deputy Chief Minister and Treasurer of the ACT),
Dr Andrew Leigh MHR (Member for Fraser and author Battlers and Billionaires: The Story of Inequality in Australia),
Dr Richard Denniss (CEO of The Australia Institute),
as well as local members of the community, speaking of their experience and perspective of living here.
The evening will be facilitated by Lin Hatfield Dodds, National Director of UnitingCare Australia and Chair of UnitingCare Kippax Board.
The evening will include an opportunity to hear from the guest speakers, and then to discuss and plan together what we can do individually and collectively to build a fairer community.
